Grasshopper Oreo Cookie Pops are the best and easiest treat for so many occasions.
Better just dust off your super hero cape now, ‘cuz you’re gonna need it big time.
These pops are just so incredibly yummy!
It was Charlie’s 9th birthday last week. He’s a big fan of the mint chocolate combo. (Must take after his mother.)
He’d already requested my Fudgy Grasshopper Ice Cream Pie as his birthday cake. But I really wanted to send in something special for him to take to school too. He has a big class, nearly thirty kids. I racked my brain for an easy treat to pull together, something he’d love. And these Grasshopper Oreo Cookie Pops “popped” into my mind.
I’ve made time consuming school birthday treats in the past. Not so with these fun Grasshopper Oreo Cookie Pops. I had thirty individually wrapped festive birthday treats in a little over an hour, packaged and ready to go. Didn’t even turn my oven on. Psyche!
I happened to go into school for a meeting on Charlie’s birthday and these Grasshopper Oreo Cookie Pops were all the chatter at school with the kids and teachers alike. Made me so happy to send in a hit, especially since it made my birthday boy happy. And it was so easy!!!
Rip open that bag of Mint Creme Oreos. Push the pop sticks in, then dip in melted chocolate. Let dry. Presto! You done!!!
These pops are just right for anytime you need an individually wrapped and easy to transport treat. How ’bout the bake sale? Perfect for end of school year classroom parties. They’re also a quick and easy hands on project to do with kids for youth group, VBS, camp and scouts groups. Also a fun grandparent activity with the grands.
I feel slightly disingenuous even calling this a recipe. But when you’re in a jam and need something quick and tasty for a fun school treat or party favor like I did, this one fits the bill. (You’ll be glad to have this in your back pocket.)

These look fabulous! Didn’t know there were mint flavored Oreos! Great idea! Thanks, Allie!
Susie Mandel says
Sadly, Pinkie, I did know there were mint Oreos…and so do my hips, haha. Allie, you are just fabulous when it comes to cooking, baking, and especially gift ideas. I cannot imagine anything you’ve brought in to the boys’ schools that wasn’t a hit!! You are one awesome lady.
Allie says
Awww…Susie. You so kind. SO KIND. I’m still thinking about that incredible chocolate mousse you made for Jon and me many years ago. So delicious. STILL THINKING ABOUT IT. And, you kindly gave me the recipe. So you know what’s coming….chocolate mousse on the blog…
Susie Mandel says
Would you believe I’d forgotten I made that for you guys. (Not surprised I’d forgotten, heehee!) Wow, I’m honored.
Marye says
I love these! I did something similar for my eldest daughter’s wedding… used white chocolate and monogrammed it… the mint chocolate Oreos are the BEST….
Allie says
Sounds so elegant Marye, would love to see what you did for the wedding. Oreos are the foundation for so many fabulous desserts including Cookies and Cream ice cream. I love how nicely these package up, the perfect little thank you, and such a nice size for a treat….if one can resist eating more than one….(and that is the question.)
Denise says
This looks easy enough for me to do! I think we’ll be doing this as a craft next year at Pioneer Club,.
Allie says
Oh good D, they’d be perfect for that, and I know a 9 year old little boy who would be beyond thrilled about that. (There is MORE to the story of his birthday pops…)They would also be very nice with double stuff, but they did not have those in mint and so couldn’t do that. Now they have S’more Oreos, just came out. What will they think of next? That would make a great pop too.

Might have to just give these beauties a try! We served the scrumptious Grasshopper Pie last night for Memorial Day and boy was it a huge hit!! My only regret is that we had some left over and it will be calling to me all week from the freezer. 😉 I love these easy treats and will likely be whipping up an easy batch for Luke’s end of the year party!
Allie says
Christy, SO GLAD the Grasshopper Ice Cream Pie was a hit. I like these desserts that are so easy but have great curb appeal. 🙂 Hope everyone likes the cookie pops for Luke’s party. My big guys have been whining for me to make some of these pops, I ran out of stuff and they didn’t get one that batch. Hope you all had a great weekend and the birthday boys had a great birthday. XOXO

How lucky your boys are to have such a talented mom! Those treats look amazing. My son’s birthday is in September, but I will be using your blog for the dessert ideas, for sure! Alas, I am not much of a chef, but your recipes are inspiring!
Allie says
Thanks Carina, and September birthdays are the best! My son Jacob was born in September too. The only drawback for me was being an expectant mom thru the month of August. That was tough! Have a wonderful day!
